Customer Service - What does it cost?
Just recently I had to book an International flight and generally being a frugal person I decided to see what options
were available.
The flight time was only just over three hours so price was more of an issue than anything else.
Anyway a little internet research coughed up a number of options with my final choice being made in the following order.....
Flight availability to suit my timetable, Departure and arrival ports and of course price.
My final choice turned out to be the cheapest on offer, it provided a basic service with no frills but it suited my needs.
My expectations were not high as I boarded the flight for my journey out, but this is where the surprises began.
I was greeted in a warm and friendly manner by the crew, shownto my seat, given assistance with my hand luggage and provided
with a brief overview of the inflight services that would soon be available.....we had at this stage not yet departed and as
far as I could see the other 120 odd passengers were treated the same way.
The assistance continued throughout the flight and onto ground services on our arrival at our destination.
All this on a flight that cost under half of what I would normally pay!!!
What made the difference? People made the difference, the human element.
Treating your customers with courtesy and respect, providing the service you promise and doing this all with a smile costs nothing.
On my arrival back home as I left the flight one of the crew said, I hope you enjoyed your experience with us and hope you will join
us again soon.....you can guess my response.

Getting Started
In our last newsletter we finished our Taking Action article, this has brought out a number of questions from some of you.
Comments such as, I don't know how to build a website.
I can't think of anything to write about.
How long will it take to learn how to...
and so on and so on.......
We have all had to learn mostly by trial and error, remember when you first tried to ride a bicycle, you fell off a few times before
you worked out how to keep your balance.
The Internet Marketing business is no different, you will make mistakes but as long as you put in the effort you will succeed.
"So what is the easiest way to get started?"
The answer is: Affiliate Programs aka Associate Programs.
So what are they and how do they work?
Simply an affiliate program is an online arrangement with a merchant
that pays you a commission, this comes after the customer you referred
has purchased goods from them.
Many affiliate programs come complete with a website and all the support required to get you started.
You just need a computer and internet connection, secure a domain name
and website host and you are in business.
OK I am convinced this is the way to go, what do I do now.
Firstly you need to select an affiliate program that is of interest to
you, visit one of the affiliate networks and take a look around, see
what takes your eye.

Each program will explain how they work, what is provided and what
commission they pay on sales.
Most programs will provide you with good promotional tools as they want you to succeed, because every sale you make is income for them
as well.
Obviously getting visitors to your site is the key to your success, this in itself is a separate topic so I believe the best way for
you to move forward is take a look at what a real affiliate is doing.
