The Spring Racing Carnival in Melbourne has just finished for
another year - with the "CUP" being the race that everyone
looks forward to, commonly known as the "Race that stops the
Nation", it also is a public holiday as well so the first
Tuesday in November is eagerly anticipated.
With a winners purse in excess of AU$4 Million it is not surprising
that punters outlaid over AU$117 Million in the hope
of a major return on investment.
Everyone dreams of wild success, loads of money and a lifestyle to
match and in this case it might only be just over 3 minutes away
(The average race time) in this time you will know whether you are a
winner or a loser.
Everyday in almost every country of the world people hope that their
dreams will come true as they gamble in many forms, be it betting on
the horses, sporting events, lotto or anything you can think of
really!
So why do we do it?, basically we are a lazy bunch, we all want the
best life can offer and would prefer not to work for it!
You will also see seemingly attractive offers made on the internet,
like, "Make $10,472.00 in the next 12 hours whilst
sipping drinks on your favourite beach"
These ads are designed to prey on our emotions, instant wealth, no
effort, well remember there is always more losers than winners,
after all, every form of gambling would not exist if everyone won.
The odds are against success, agreed you have a chance but it is
very slim, the only real way to achieve is by putting in
some effort, patience, persistence and perseverance will bring you
reward in the end.
So next time you place a bet of any form, just reflect a little,
your money may be put to better use elsewhere....it's
your choice in the end.
PS: My money was on the wrong horse...well there goes my dreams!!!

Imagine you're sitting in front of your computer.
Moments before you sat down with your cup of coffee, ready to get to
work, amazing ideas flooded your mind. You were about to start a
groundbreaking new project. A well-crafted article was about to
emerge from under your fingertips onto that blank Microsoft Word
document. Something -- that something that would launch your
Internet business into full speed, churning out money like a machine
-- was about to come into existence.
And now, as that blank screen stares you in the face, your mind is
empty. That earth-shattering
project idea? Gone. The gripping words of the article you were
preparing to write? They're gone, too.
You sigh. You have no idea where to start. You've read the ebooks
about how to build a successful Internet business. You've learned
how to build mini sites and advertise them on Overture.com. You've
discovered how to get high website rankings on the Google search
engine.
But suddenly, this knowledge flies out the window. It's jumbled
together, and you don't have the slightest idea which avenue to
take. So, as the clock ticks in the background, you sit in front of
your computer screen, accomplishing little of anything. With another
sigh, you begin to surf the Internet.
Tomorrow will be the day you REALLY launch your Internet business.

It just matters that you start. That you type one word. That you
build one web page. That you research one good keyword to use in

Once you start, you're not at ground zero anymore. You've got
material to work with. Every sentence you write will become
motivation to write another sentence. And after that, another. Every
webpage you build will propel you on to building the next one. When
you write that headline for your new sales letter, it will lead into
the sub-headline, and...
Becoming successful online is like losing weight. Starting a diet
"tomorrow" isn't a diet at all. It's a dream. Because every day,
you're faced with the same temptations -- the same distractions --
that you were yesterday.
There will NEVER be a "perfect"
time to start.
When you're dieting, someone will always have a birthday. There will
be cake and Pepsi right in front of you, distracting you from your
purpose. When you're attempting to build a successful online
business, there will never be enough time. There will never be
enough peace and quiet for you to "gather your thoughts". Over a
billion webpages will always be enticing you to surf the Internet
instead of making progress on your project idea.
If it's not a matter of "when" to start, it's "where" to start. It's
true that you're faced with many options in starting a profitable
business model. Ebooks, software, affiliate programs, Google Adwords,
mini sites, and eBay are just a handful of the paths you can take.
So pick one. Just one. After you do, don't start on another until
you have that ONE completed and
turning a profit. Don't give up midway through the race because the
track next to you looks like
less work.
Just as there is never a perfect time, there is not a perfect online
business model. Each carries its unique pros and cons.
So, pick one. Decide to write an ebook. Decide to build that website
and promote that affiliate program. Whatever you do, just decide.
After you've decided, just "do". Start. Write a sentence. It doesn't
have to be perfect. Build a webpage. It doesn't have to be
beautiful. Create an outline for a software program. It doesn't have
to be revolutionary.
Your challenge is to put the following steps into action. Today.
Right now.
1. Pick one. One business model.
2. Before you turn on your computer, write down three steps you can
take right now to turn this idea into a reality.
3. Set a kitchen timer or watch the clock. You'll be working for the
next 30 minutes.
4. Pound through your tasks for 30 minutes straight. Don't get
caught up in unnecessary details. You just need to build a base to
work from. You just need to get started. Once you have that, your
next step of progress will seem incredibly less daunting.
You'll probably even look forward to it!
An object at rest remains at rest. A business at rest remains at
rest, too. To break this state of stagnation, just get moving. Get
the momentum going.
Challenge yourself to take the above steps right now, and apply
numbers two through four every day for the next two weeks of your
life.
Now --
Imagine you're sitting in front of your computer. It's two weeks
from today. You feel happy, productive, and satisfied with your
accomplishments over the past fourteen days. You can feel the
momentum pushing you forward. You sit back in your chair and smile.
