I found after 25 years that each new writing project is exciting and different.
I found that just writing is the best advice anyone can get. Preplanning makes writing too much like work. It becomes a noose instead of a creation.
When doing an ebook your book can be rough draft style or basic edition to get \feedback on what to add. Think of it as a sampler platter if you are nto sure what you want to write about.
I ahve combined a num,ber of smaller editions into a large compendium. It was easier and become more of what I wanted in the first place. Booklets are faster sellers as well. |

Have you marketed anything you have written?
I am interested in hearing about the difficulties you experienced if any in preparing your articles/ebooks for sale and the results you achieved.
Regards

I ahvent really ever done a full blown marketing plan. thats one reason why I am at this forum. Mostly I go through the user groups I have been a member of and generate sales in connection w ith a class i am teaching. But its slow. And now user groups seem to be a bit wierd, replying to only those who ahve a " name".
As to problems .. I love lulu.com. thst where i am publishing ebooks now. I ahve to reformta what I have written for print. seems the printers standards dont have ariel fonts for hard copy.
My most difficult part of creating my boos, especially teh larger ones was teh researcha nd deciding teh continuity. I ahve a now down pat format that everyone has come to expect.
and thatw a sprobably the hardest part.
I use free shareware versions of PD creators. Its gives them publicity and me a way to lessen my expense. |

I finished a Learn Spanish eBook not long ago and when I started it seemed that it was going to be easy but I got frustrated as I started writing it. I think it was because I took it as a job and not as something I was supposed to do for fun.
I agree, just write and see what you come up with, after that you can modify your content and you'll be ready to sell and make profits. |

| I think I would have a basic outline before writing but otherwise go with my instincts as I write. I have found that sometimes when I start to write something I realize I am writing that it needs to take a different direction and I am flexible about this. |
