How many of you find email to be an effective way to market and to reach your customers? I have not found much success this way. I seem to do better by talking to people who might be interested in my services, by offering Internet messaging to customers and through forums.

Most of my connections are made on internet social networks. I join groups and we talk about each other's services. I have never tried email campaigns, but I know that I delete all mail if I do not know who the person is. I hardly ever open that type of mail and then go through the process of actually getting the product that is offered. In fact, I can't say that I have ever done this.

I generally use email as a way to follow up with current clients or with people who have asked me to provide them with more information about my services.

I think I will start to use email even more. I can have an opt in list so that I can send customers emails about sales and special deals.
