| Does anyone have idea about inexpensive way of increasing traffic to a web page? There seems to be a lot of expensive methods available in the market including search engine optimisation and so on... These methods dont seems to be practical to me with limited funds on my hand. Any suggestions would be most welcome... |

| If you don't have the cash for SEO or other marketing methods you will need to spend time and effort instead. With a little effort you can do SEO for yourself. |

Start the simple way...
Prepare a thought provoking sig file and place it after your forum posts.
Obviously if you are visiting forums that relate to your niche this will give you a trickle of traffic, a little and often will build in time.
The secret is to start right away but ensure that you abide by the forum rules, some forums don't allow sig files or promotion in any way.
Good Luck.
Cheers

Article marketing is free but does take time and effort. You can always outsource your articles if you hate writing but you often get what you pay for.
For a good explanation of article marketing check out bum marketing by Travis Sago. You can find it at http://www.bummarketingmethod.com
It's free and the easy to get started. The first money I made online was following this advice. |

Another thing I meant to mention...there is no reason that SEO has to be expensive. SEO simply stands for Search Engine Optimization. Find out what the search engines love and give it to them, while at the same time giving your human visitors what they want.
Creating unique content, purchasing a good domain name, using keywords, and link building does not have to cost anything (other than domain name and webhosting, of course). When you have more money than time you can start outsourcing these tasks, but if money is tight you can do all of this on your own. |

That's true - but it is a whole lot harder when you have a "turnkey" site that you're looking to make the quick buck from. That's pretty much why people will opt for the "cheap" way out and purchase links - anything to get them ahead of the other clones. |

| I think the cheapest way to put your website name or your product out there is using the signature feature on forums related to your niche (see my signature to see an example). SEO is very important but it could be expensive if you can't do it yourself. Pay per click could be very expensive as well. |

| Most methods I use are inexpensive or cheap. I do my own SEO work. I do submit to a couple directories and search engines. I post my link in forums as allowed by forum rules. I have done some link exchanges and also exchanged work for ads on websites and forums. |
