|
|
Hey guys,
I just thought I would let you know that if you are going to buy something on eBay, check it out and see if there is a good time to buy...
I was trying to buy a massage table, so I had a look at who was selling them, and then looked at the history to see when they were cheapest. ie. the time...
This usually happened late at night, or during the day Australian time... I think it was because of the American market and the Australian market...
Late at night, Aussies dont want to buy and at midday in Australia, the Americans are sleeping!!!
Something to look out for if you are looking to buy something cheap on eBay!!!
Cheers,

Whenever I buy on ebay, I tend to either stay up REALLY late (UK time) to make sure I can get the best prices (usually listings ending at 3-4am) OR I decide what my highest bid is going to be, then add a penny to it.
Gotta use the automatic bidding function for that to work though, and make sure you use the bid button at the BOTTOM of the page because if you use the top one, it`ll go to your highest bid right away.
But of course, if I`m SELLING stuff on ebay, I try to get the listings to end anywhere between 2pm and 6pm (they seem to be the best times on ebay.co.uk)

If you are a keen eBay user is important to understand how the influence of time differences between countries can effect auction results.
I good way to check is to go to http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock this will give the current time anywhere in the world.
Anna also makes a good point about late finishing auctions...there are bargains to be had if you are a purchaser, however remember to select busier times of the day to end your auction if you are a seller.
eBay can be a place to find real treasure but if you are a little savvy using the above tips will save you even more.
Cheers

I usually buy stuff very early in the morning, let's say 4 am. I'm a Student and I buy most of my textbooks online (Half.com or eBay) and I get them no later than 2 weeks before school starts when the prices are low and nobody is looking for textbooks.
Timing is very important while buying online. |

| Have you ever tried Barnes and Noble for text books? They have an entire section exclusive to college students. I have saved a lot of money with that site. |
