Does anyone here flip websites? I'm in the process of building my first website for flipping. I'm hoping to use this to gain some fast cash to help me build my long term businesses.
I'm focusing on building unique content niche sites. I'm going to list them at the digital point forum.
I buy the domains at namecheap, so as long as I make more than $10, I'll turn a profit. I'm currently unable to work outside of the home, and although I have ebooks and affiliate sites but those income streams need time to build up. |

Hi Pamela,
I personally have not "flipped any websites" but I am aware that many people are reasonably successful in doing so.
In addition to Digital Point I guess you could list on eBay as well.
Given that you are wanting to produce some fast cash you are clearly going to have to build many websites but if you add this in with your other potential income streams the dollars will soon start to flow.
Good Luck.
Cheers

I don't know what kind of prices you will get. I have a client who occasionally buys websites from eBay and puts them up -- most of them he buys for less than $50. That isn't a lot of money considering the amount of work that can go into building a website.
Best Regards,

Yeah, Steve, I know I won't get rich from building and flipping websites. One thing I hope to do is to use it as seed money for ppc campaigns for my own products.
I'm trying to mimic the type of sites that I see selling. It doesn't take me to long to write up unique content, but I am still a little slow on the actual website building. Hopefully I will get faster with time. My husband does it with me so it's not as long or boring as it would be otherwise. It's great to be an IM couple. |

| Well, I thought I'd post a quick update here. I was able to sell my first website for $100. I'm happy with the results and know that this money will help me build my business faster. |

I flip websites for a living. (I was trying to write an eBook on doing it and found good suggestions from this forum on writing eBooks). "Thanks"
Depending on how much you want to make I have found the best way to do it is to build them up with content articles and adsense. I run them for a three month period of time to allow a good amount of traffic, build earnings with adsense and create a presence on the internet. Sites earning from $25-$100 month will typically sell for 5 to 10 times that. Also another thing I do is find a good domain name ($6-7 ea) and then reselling them for $25-100. I make descent money doing this. It just took me some trial and error. |

| I have never done this but I do have a couple friends who have flipped websites successfully. It is not their only business but is a major part of their income. |
