Hi All,
As we move ever closer to 2005 I would be interested to learn what your marketing plans are for the new year.
Are you starting a new venture, writing a book, creating a product or service??
Maybe you are consolidating your current business or seeking a joint venture to expand.
Let's hear what you intend to do and why you have chosen the path you have?
Cheers

Hi Kevin,
Yes... it would be good to have a plan. Something I will have to give some more thought to...
I've noted since I started blogging again this year (before this Summer my last blog post was in 2001) and although it didn't do anything for my traffic in 2001, it has doubled my traffic since the Summer. Goes to show that it is really catching on, and although I don't seem to get a lot of comments or trackbacks, I'm getting more and more subscribers to my newsletter all of the time. I'm obviously reaching more people.
I'm toying with the idea of joining the local chapter of Toastmasters. I've been asked to speak a few times and have always turned the opportunities down.
But really, I don't have any specific plans, although I should have. It has been almost 2 years since I reached my 10 year goal, and I need to set new ones.
What great plans do you have in the works Kevin? I know you have mentioned a few new ones lately.
Best Regards,
Steve MacLellan |

Hi Steve,
Like you I see the potential in Blogs so they feature highly in my new year plans.
Given my poor health this year progress on a number of fronts has been slow but I intend to make up for it in 2005.
Here's a summary of plans to date...
a) Continue to promote and build this forum so it becomes a valuable and recognised resource for all.
b) Finalise plans for launch of an ebook written in conjunction with Kim Standerline...approx 150+ pages of solid information for the new and not so new marketer, should be available in two weeks.
c) Launch three new Blogs, http://www.eBF-News.com which will be an extension of my newsletter, http://www.infoproductreviews.com the content of which should be self explanatory.
A further Blog is in the planning stage.
d) Complete the revamp of my lead generation page at http://www.ebusinessformula.com the text is completed, just reviewing and tightening it up now...should be up and running in 30 days.
e) Prepare and run a newsletter subscriber campaign in conjunction with a few other marketers.
f) Continue with my lead generation trials, put out an interim report mid year and perhaps an ebook later in the year.
g) One major new website to be completed...only in the planning stages at present along with three mini sites.
That's the extent of my planning to date for 2005 but I clearly intend to gather some real momentum in the coming year and to this end I have employed another assistant to help me achieve my goals.
Will keep you updated as we go along.
Let's here from some others here...what are your plans?
Cheers

My plans for the new year (which I've already started on) is to diversify by building and marketing several new websites so I have several different revenue streams coming in.
I think 2005 will be a good year for business. |

Hi Scrumfie,
It is good to have a plan...the hard part for most people is sticking to it!!
Creating a number of different streams of income is a good idea
- Have you identified the areas you intend to focus on?
- Would you care to share a little more detail on how you intend to monetize each of them?
Look forward to your feedback.
Cheers

Hey Kevin,
My full-time job is an SEO and it has been a feast or famine business over this past year, so I thought I would buy some turnkey websites, SEO them but promote them through PPC campaigns to get them started.
So far I have purchased and developed a web site templates, Photoshop tutorials and marketing ebooks site to SEO and promote.
I'm hoping these help when the "famine" cycle of my other business kicks in. |
