Tried this last year for our farming website - http://www.gofarmer.com and basically a waste of money.

I appreciate your comments in regards to advertising via this medium but I feel I should mention that responses to advertising can vary and depends on many things.

Things like, The keywords used, the size of your market / audience and their interest, competition and much more.

I have been running a trial with Featured Listings pointing the ads to a site I recently launched.

The site has not been mentioned anywhere else, it has no links to it and I am purely using it to see if the advertising suggested can deliver traffic.

Whilst it is early days yet I have definitely gained some benefit and I hope that this may continue.

I will keep you posted on developments but at this stage I am not disappointed given my miniscule investment.

Hi Kevin - I'd be very interested to learn if this is continuing to work for you. It sounds almost too good to be true, but if you're getting results then I'd love to try it as well.

Hi Carrie,

It's early days yet, My trial has only been running for six weeks but the results are encouraging.

When you consider the cost for three months exposure is only $12.00 and yet I could burn that much up using Google Adwords in minutes.

I will advise my results at the end of three months but to date I have had a 400% return on my investment and I am at the halfway stage.

I tried adwords a year ago and I was highly upset with the way things went. It might have just been me and not knowing how to fully use or operate it but all I know is that, my money just kept getting ate up. I don't know if people were just clicking to be clicking through a paid to click site or what. But my money didn't last over a week before I was repaying to get my ads back out there.
