One useful thing about having an eBay account is that you get this handy section entitled "About Me". Here you get a great chance to write about yourself and to showcase the sort of items that you are selling. You can even put in links to your webpage.
For example, I sell a lot of Japanese items, so "About Me" is a chance to talk to my customers and potential customers about Kyoto and its textile industry. This gives the buyers considerable background on the goods that they are thinking of buying, and they will be more likely to add me to their favorite sellers list.
You write and edit the "About Me" section yourself, so you can always keep it fresh and updated. |

I've sold a lot over the years, but not enough to really start up my own eBay store - if I see something that I know is going to be salable on eBay at a profit, I snag it!
such as freebies at conventions.... ther'es always a buyer for those! |

| Yeah it is a very useful feature but although I've been using eBay for years I have never sold anything so I only have a buyer account. |
