Happy New Year Everyone.

Like many I went through the usual New Year ritual and made promises to myself as to what I was going to change about me and achieve in 2007 but this time it is a little different.

Apart from some personal goals, like lose some weight! I have detailed those things that I want to achieve online this year.
I have given myself timelines in which to achieve each step and to ensure I stay on track so motivation and dedication to the task is a must.

Let's hope I can keep on track Rolling Eyes

So let's hear about your New Year resolutions...

Hi Wendy,

New Year Resolutions, Making them is easy, keeping them is a little more difficult in my case!

I think that as we get older and lead very busy lives it is very easy to get distracted so after several years of promises to myself but with little to show for it I have changed my approach.

I now set monthly goals and tick them off one by one, it seems to work better for me, I break down the bigger tasks into smaller bite size pieces and because of this I seem to get each finished.

It works for me anyway...

All the best for 2007.

Regards

Peter2

I know, it's already the middle of April, but here are my goals to get me through the rest of the year.

1) Start and maintain my own website as a freelance writer

2) Double my monthly income

3) Sell 100 copies of my novel, Visiting Grandma

4) Write at least five short stories and start on a sequel to Visiting Grandma.

5) Become smarter than my cats. (Okay, I know number five is impossible, but still...)

I've been disappointed so many times with myself just because I didn't accomplish any of my resolutions, that for this year, I decided not to have any! So, all the plans I have in my head, if I get to do them, then I'll be fine. If not... oh well! But at least there were not New Years resolutions!
