I have previously posted here in regards to a new website. I would like some feedback on a book project that we have just started that pertains to writing and marketing. I would like to know if this is this something of interest to writers, especially those who need to "get the word out" about their own work?
In this project writers can submit the next chapter of a book, or vote which chapter comes next. When the book is published you get your name next to the chapter and 100% of all profits go to educational organizations. The first chapter is being posted in 2 weeks and I just want some feedback/ideas on the project as a whole.

this sounds like a cross between writers bridge( which didnt go anywhere as a co-op) and Googlebooks.
Now I went for both, but if i didnt have to do it in two places it woudl be worthwhile.
What type of interest have you gotten or are youstill waiting. |

I have never heard of writers bridge..which is probably the point!
The site itself has been well receieved by the publishing industry. We have various authors and publishers using the site and subscribed to our newsletter. We have only been live since May and already have books listed by the thousands (take a look at our your views page for some of the responses).
But, in regards to this book project..we only just posted the site on Tuesday, but have already recieved great interest from many authors. We think it will be successful (once the word really spreads..which takes time) as an author can get their name published in a book that 100% of the profits are given to educational organizations. We have a great opening chapter written by a talented author, which even inspired me to consider attempting to write the next chapter! |

| The site is actually the name I am posting under. I don't want to offend anyone by posting a link, so place www. before and .com after the bookhitch username and you will be brought to the website. This is a good site to list your books, and you can place a link to your website next to each book listing (or your e-mail if you prefer). |

| If you are still interested, we now have the second chapter written and voted on and are now accepting chapter 3 entries...until January 2nd. |
