Hi Teena,
Indeed I have been a little busy of late but my List Building trials continue.
I should be in a position to share my latest results in the next week or two.
Clearly for the trials to have any meaning you need to run them for at least six months (Well thats my view anyway) to ensure that consistency is maintained.
I will keep you posted.
Cheers

|
|
I did a crazy test with ffa leads. I uploaded 20,000 into my autoresponder on my own server and asked them to join my Marketing Tips Newsletter by clicking a link. 267 confirmed. I was shocked. People are actually seeing these messages. I repeated the process and so far added over 700 confirmed subscribers to my list this way. If they do not confirm they are not added to the list.
I host my regular lists with Aweber which I love. I get about 200 people a day subscribing to my different newsletters there. These people must actually go to my website and subscribe from my forms. It has been my number one marketing method.
I sent out an ad for a marketing product for $175. to my list and so far 26 people purchased. My commission is $50. About 200k in all my real lists.
Just to give you an idea of the response.
thanks,
Matt |

Hi Matt,
I am a little intrigued by your post.
You say you purchased 20000 leads and emailed them once asking them to join your newsletter...what incentives were you offering them to sign up?
As I see it 700 signups from 20000 is around a 3.5% response which is very rare.
Gaining a response of this nature from an untargeted list is incredible so how many have since unsubscribed and or how many of these have actually purchased something from you?
Given the initial cost of the leads are you in front with your investment yet?
Looking forward to your feedback.
Regards

When I first started out with my list for dolls I went strraight to Topica.
Then someone hacked teh account and spammed my readers. A lesosn learned.
But I found that using my groups I belog to that have teh same interest I gained a nicec topica following.
By asking oeple to look at what you may have can generate a large list.
especially if you take the time to create a porat sample page of what you are working on so they can subscribe and be updated.

I had a topica list and it got hacked by someone. How do you prevent that from happening or was it just a fluke?
