You might find that a lot of these don't apply to your market, but some of them might be adapted...
I really liked the one (for people like me) to go to the public library and start slipping your business card in all of the web programming books.
For example... suppose someone from a local business decides they need a certain web script., and the pick up a copy of Perl 5 by Eric C. Herrmann. There is 926 pages in the book. Not really the lite reading you would expect if you just want a script installed. Then... he finds my business card in the book.
I thought this was a great idea.

Thanks Steve,
This report has some real "Gems" in it, promotional ideas for both online and off.
Mostly really simple but practical "Proven" ideas that you can use to promote your business.
Everyone should take the time to read this report, I can assure you that you will get at least one good idea that will suit your needs.
Let's hear about the success that you have after trying the one of your choice.
Cheers

Hi Kevin,
As much as I like the idea of slipping the business cards in books at the library, I haven't used it yet. But one of the suggestions to use car magnets is one I employed with my Used car website. And it worked. I was actually pulled over the odd time and given an advertising order right on the side of the road.
Also as mentioned in the eBook about referrals: although I don't do anything quite so creative, I do email clients every once in a while and ask for referrals. This always brings in a little more business.
I also have a customer loyalty program of sorts... where some of the clients I still have from the early days get my services at a reduced rate. As a thank you for helping me build my business I made them a guarantee that I would never increase their prices.
And still... occasionally I give out free samples, or lend a helping hand where I can. See the header graphic I made for David.
Sometimes, for free as well, I've helped people with troubleshooting web problems, and when I first got going in this business I did a series of free websites just to get a portfolio.
Best Regards,
