Hi All,
For those keen eBayers that visit I thought you might like to know about some auction alternatives.
Maybe you have a listing on eBay that's not getting the exposure you would like or you just want to try something different then I have posted an article on one of my blogs that will be of interest.
The article includes live links to the sites in question, head on over to http://www.eBF-News.com now....
Cheers

| That front page article about paypal scams is a good alert for people. Although, I need not be reminded as I was an early victim. No damage was done, though, because I saw that my account had been broken in to and immediately fixed the problem. So, from then on, I learned not to trust any emails that supposedly come from paypal or ebay. |

| Me, too, crassus. I have learned my lesson on that. One thing you got to do is to be careful from those who sent emails from ebay coz they are so deceiving, with all the logos and format, almost the same as ebay, very tricky. If anyone has a doubt, foward it to spoof@ebay.com and ebay will get back with you to confirm if it is really from them or not. |

| Alternatives to eBay are much needed - great idea Kevin! eBay used to be a marketplace for everyone, but lately it's all big-time sellers with an astonishing amount of feedback, so the "little guy" is suffering. |

Being based in the UK, for a while I tried this one
http://www.ebash.co.uk/
which is free.
However it does not seem to get the traffic that eBay gets, and also there seem to be glitches and problems with the software of the website, such as problems relisting, and so on.
I did sell one book, but in the end I gave up and went back to eBay for the traffic, and ease of use of the website/account. |

I may end up doing some business on Yahoo auctions, as this seems to be the popular auction site in Japan. |

Yes - ebay never really took off in Japan. There it definitely seems to be Yahoo that is the popular one:
