I apologise to all the supporters of my forum, I went away on business for three days only to find on my return that my long time Hosting provider had severe server problems some hours after my departure.
This is a first time event in some two and half years but serves to remind us how vulnerable we are when relying on others to provide critical services.
Several of my sites were affected and I have only managed to get them onstream again today.
So once again I apologise for the fact that you have not been able to access my sites...but the crisis is now over.
Thanks for your patience
Let's get back to some friendly and informative discussion
Cheers

Hi Kevin!
Wuz wondering what happened.
Glad you've gotten things up and running again. Yep ... You're right, though, about our vulnerabilities when relying on others providing the critical services we use. Can't get around that. Even the "big boys" get smacked around every now and then.
I remember a short while ago, Lynn over at SSWT had a similar issue. What a mess she had to go thru.
I'm finding that since site hosting companies are "a dime a dozen" these days, many people are finding that their "cheap hosting" is having more and more problems keeping their services up and running.
Having said that ... There ARE some decent inexpensive hosting services out there with good customer service. But I'm not gonna put my "main" sites on a $35 a year hosting account. Maybe if I do some mini sites or for testing purposes.
BUT ... Ain't "high technology" fun?
Have A GREAT Week!
