OK here I go with my first question, go gentle on me please.
I have no wish to offend anyone here but a lot of marketers seem to be pushing "The make money on the Net" angle, many appear to be selling the same product.
It almost appears to be that they are selling to one another in some cases so I want to avoid the "crowded" market and strike out in another direction, perhaps one that is more profitable.
So my question is, How to I find my place in the market, Where do I start?
Regards

Peter,
Only you can be sure of your place in the market, we can give you some ideas but it is you that must have the passion to drive and build it into a success.
You may find the following free guide of some help, it may generate some thought in regards to a path you may choose to follow.

Hi Peter,
As Kevin states, something you have your heart in is a really great start.
All the make money quick rubbish is just that and ther is no such thing.
Something you like to doing or enjoy, a hobby, your current work but working for yourself, maybe something you always were interested in but never had the time, etc.
Information is the big seller at the moment so anything such as ebooks, membership sites on niche products services usually do well.
I'm nearly finished a short ebook/report on starting out online. I will post it here when I'm done.
Cheers, Chris

I think one of the most important things is to to something that you like and already have an interest in. It takes time to build an online business, and you have to be prepared to work at it until you can establish an income. If you are involved in something that doesn't interest you, it is hard to keep working at it when you're not getting anything back.
So what can you see yourself doing? What are your hobbies? Interests? Is there a way these can be developed into a business?
Best Regards,
