Greetings All,

My name is Steven Currie. I live in San Diego. For the last eight years, I have been the I.S./I.T. manager for a small employee assistance program. To broaden my horizons, I recently signed up as a distributor for an online adult education web site.

I like forums because I have learned a lot reading different people’s posts. I also like assisting people, when I can, if I have knowledge about their issues or problems. If a problem is solvable, there is probably someone who knows how to solve it or a web site that can help.

To get exposure for our web site, we have created an “E~Biz Software Newsletter”, which will have time saving and useful software, useful tips and articles and other things. All of the software we offer will be useful freeware. In one of the first few issues will have a handy “form field filler” which you can set up with a set of fields like your name, phone number, web site name. When you go to a web site where you need to fill in your personal info you can just drag and drop the data fields into the web form. No more typing your name 10 times a day! We also have a handy organizer. You can store notes
and schedule dates in one integrated, easy to use interface. It is a planning tool and is suitable for both business and personal application. In the first few newsletters there will also be one on article marketing, how to do it and where to submit them.

I assume you are seeking to build a subscriber list so how do you intend to promote your newsletter?

To start out, I have two avenues to market our newsletter. One is to visit forums like ebusinessformula.

The other idea I have is to set up an affiliate network of people who own web sites and ezines that are related to home based businesses/owning your own business. It will probably take me two-three weeks to work that out.

The other thing I have found is that word of mouth works to some extent.
