Does anyone bother about Page Rank anymore?
Does good Page Rank genuinely offer you any real value?
What are your thoughts on this?
Cheers

I guess page ranks really only matter when it come to linking and advertising. Personally, since I haven't had time to do much of either in the past few months, I never even look at page ranks anymore.
Just my thoughts... |

Hi Kevin,
I don't pay much attention to pagerank. I think it is more important to focus on the traffic you are getting and trying to convert more of these to customers.
Best Regards,

For those that are following along and consider Page Rank important Google has just completed its latest "Dance"
Page Rank has been moved up or down dependent on how Google decides to rate your site.
All of my sites have seen an upward movement.
How did you fare ?
Cheers

What you see in your Google Toolbar (the little green line) isnt accurate... and is often referred to as TBPR (toolbar pagerank). Google knew that people were using it to buy & sell links (manipulate search results), which is the reason they dont display accurate rank... and it was also a publicity stunt from what I understand.
That's not to say that actual PageRank isnt important in their algorithm... but PageRank, and what they display on the toolbar, are two totally different things.
I dont pay attention to it when linking at all... instead, I link to and gain links from sites that make sense. Period. If a link adds value to a page, it's good. If it doesnt, it's not.
Natural linking is best! |
