Search engines are by far the most common starting point for Internet users in their quest for finding information, products or services. Currently, there are 391 million people online throughout the world. This number is growing larger daily at an unprecedented rate. Internet studies now show that over 85% of the 391 million people online use search engines on a daily basis when they’re surfing the Internet. With this in mind, it is no mystery why search engine optimization has become one of the hottest topics within Internet marketing. With 391 million people online, the amount of daily search engine traffic is staggering. For an individual or company who is thinking of marketing their products or services, the Internet can be a virtually limitless gold mine of potential customers.

Search engines are really the most important feature in the net. Without search engines, I just can't imagine what happens in the internet. You wouldn't be guided where to go and what to do. How to go about a certain task, how to research, we just have to get our own directory or find another way of doing things?? Whatever way, it is really difficult.

Personally I call the Search Engines the "Lazy Man's Library" a wealth of information at your fingertips without leaving the warmth and comfort of your own home.

But I am not knocking libraries because they are still the most underused resource worldwide and in most cases everything is provided for free.

Go visit your local library and I bet you will be amazed as to the services available!

Cheers Wink
