Hey,
Has anyone found a free webhost that will:
Run PHP scripts
Allow mail accounts
Not too much advertising
Just curious!
Cheers,

Andrew,
I'm not sure if they do all that you require, but you might check Netfirms. I THINK the url is http://www.netfirms.com . As I recall, you really have to look for the button for free hosting.
Hope this helps, and that you find what you are looking for. |

Hi Andrew,
I came across one last week called something like Dollar DNS or Dollar Host - I'll see if I can find a link.
Ahah! Found it ... http://www.dollardns.net/
I saw this guy posting on another forum - basically it *is* FREE, with domains for $12, might be worth a try. I haven't looked at what's included.
Good luck,
Teena!

Hi Andrew,
I know of several...but unfortunately my little Black Book of Things to Remember, ie; Special URL's, is home in the office a squillion miles away.
I will post them on my return if that's OK.
Cheers

Hi Andrew,
As mentioned earlier here is the URL for a directory of free web hosts, many offer PHP.
I have no experience with any of them so you will have to make your own decision based on what is provided but at least you will have plenty to pick from.
Let us have some feedback as to your final choice and the things that influenced your decision.

Hi All,
There are many free hosting packages available mostly with restrictions of some sort as they have to fund their service somehow.
My view though is simple, If you intend to have a strong online presence then spend a few dollars and pay to get yourself a good reliable host...
Just my two cents.
Regards

Ehost is where I started and where I want to stay. they have everything for 35 bucks a year! including domain registration.
Its awsome and I downloaded webstudio4 for making the website to upload. That too is an awesome program..welll worth the free 30 day download the 80 bucks down the line for another version. Its fully functional.
Now bravenet(?) has a great free webshosting if you use their add ons.. I am not sure if they still do .. buts worth a look.
