Hi there,
My name is krystal and i have a friend who was wondering if there was a cheaper alternative to using google adwords to get traffic for your business, i know it is a very effective way to advertise but not the only way, i do realize you can blog and write articles and purchase leads for exposure. However as far as the adwords i was not 100% sure. Would appreciate feedback if anyone has any info.
Thanks,
Krystal |

Krystal,
It might help if we knew a little bit more about the business...is it an online or offline business?
What is the market you are trying to reach, that is; who is the most likely to be interested in your product and service?
A bit more detail like this will help determine some of the more suitable options for you.
Cheers

I suppose this thread has been forgotten about, but I thought I'd reply to help others wondering if there is a cheaper alternative to AdWords.
I've had a lot of success with AdBrite. It's a whole lot easier to understand and the traffic is generally cheaper too. You'll need to be careful with what sites you choose to advertise on, so it is best to carefully study the site's demographics, where their traffic is originating from and whatnot. |

Thanks Juice,
Problem...
I went to the Adbrite site and my Internet Security (PC-cillin) denied me access claiming "Spyware" as the reason?
A Google search brought up heaps of comments about it as well.
What can you tell me about this?
Regards

| Not too sure why AdBrite is coming up with spyware, it's a very popular site (probably one of the better advertising options available too). Perhaps it's just a cookie for faster load/login? |

Following along with this thread I thought I would try checkinhg out Adbrite as per Keith's comments as I use PC-cillin as well.
I can confirm what Keith is saying, I get the same response, a warning window from PC-cillin advising that the site is recognised as Spyware.
I have my PC-cillin set to standard settings in regards to Phishing/Spyware etc.
So I continued on like Keith and did a Google search...It appears that this may actually be a fault with PC-cillin, yet to be confirmed as other web security package users are not experiencing the same problem.
I will research it some more and post my findings shortly.
Cheers
